Occasionally, the surface of the leather may feel dry, much like skin in need of moisture.

To rejuvenate the leather, use a clean, white cloth to gently massage a small amount of Neatsfoot oil or leather conditioner into the surface. (Be sure to remove any items, such as your missal, to avoid damage or staining!) Allow the leather to dry flat.

Repeat this process as needed, depending on the humidity levels in your environment, to keep your leather looking its best.
